Chapter 1.10

There were a lot of birthdays in the Ashfield home recently.

Taylor had grown into a slightly chubby teen much to Nicolas’ dismay.

Nicolas knew that Taylor wasn’t exactly the most athletic kid but encouraged him to join the sports club. He loved his son but he knew that growing up in a house full of girls can soften a boy up and he wanted Taylor to be more “manly”.

Nicolas turned into an elder but had not wanted a celebration.

Gracie did not want one either but her family surprised her in the bathroom just as she was aging up.

She was now an old woman and all she wanted now was a grandchild.

Gracie soon got her wish when Denise gave birth to little Finn Fox.

It was Judy’s birthday before long and she got a job at City Hall. She was always on the phone with her co-workers trying to advance her career.

Judy would spend hours in the library reading political memoirs, law dictionaries and political science textbooks.

Her and Melissa would always be talking about work, their jobs were similar with all the schmoozing they had to do.

Nicolas took Taylor to the gym to train him every weekend. Taylor hated it but it made his dad proud so he went along and tried his hardest.

To get his mind off of sports Taylor would take his little nephew to the park. On one of these trips he ran into a girl from school, Sabrina Angel. She thought it was so sweet that Taylor took care of his nephew that she told him to call her sometime. Taylor felt great about her she laughed at his jokes and said she wasn’t into sports. He hoped one day she would be the queen of his castle.

Back at the Ashfield home Denise felt that it was time to leave the nest. She said goodbye to her family, leaving her father last as she would cry the most leaving him behind.

As soon as Taylor arrived home with Finn, Denise hugged him goodbye and left. Kenny trailed behind her knowing that Denise was not in a good mood. Denise would miss her family but she had her own family now and she was happy knowing that the girls had grown into smart young women and that they would be there to take care of Taylor and her parents.

After they left Colby moved in.

He was always staying over so nothing much changed and he was helpful around the house, always cooking and cleaning.

Melissa started suffering from bouts of nausea and soon found out she was pregnant.

It was a total shock to all (including me) she had just begun her career and wasn’t ready yet but Colby was. Before the baby came they got married at city hall and she said goodbye to her family.

With baby Andrea they left the Ashfield home.

To get to know her new boss Doyle Reagan, Judy took him out for a few drinks.

Judy danced with him for most of the night and found out they had a lot in common.

 

With both Doyle and her having to go to the same parties it was only a matter of time before the two fell in love.

Judy decided to break things off with Jacob, needless to say he wasn’t happy.

But now Judy was free to be with Doyle.

When Denise decided to throw a party the whole family showed up and before they even made it to the door Taylor aged up.

Gracie was so excited to spend some time with her grandson.

Judy tried to get away from the noise to call Doyle.

The party must have tired Denise and Kenny because they went to bed really early.

After graduation Taylor began dating Sabrina and she moved in. Taylor got a job at the police department to make his dad proud and to live up to Nicolas’ reputation as the town hero. Sabrina started working in the music industry, she loved all instruments and wanted to master the lot of them. She got a makeover to suit her new career.

But something was off about her.
