Chapter 2.01

With becoming the head of the household, work and renovating the house Taylor was pretty stressed out. He would hit the gym and Sabrina would come along to keep him happy.

She tried the working out thing but she wasn’t good at. Taylor laughed so much when he was with her. He loved her quirkiness.

Afterwards they would go to the bar to let their hair down. But when Sabrina drank she seemed to have a few extra screws loose, her moods were uncontrollable and all over the place and Taylor had to keep a close eye on her.

In retirement Nicolas and Gracie spent their time getting reacquainted.

 

 “I’m sorry for the strain in our marriage over the years Gracie but I promise I will make it up to you.”

And he did Nicolas took Gracie on an incredible date. First he took her to the spot where they first met….

Then to dinner before coming home and watching the stars in the exact spot they used to. It was an incredible night and Gracie knew she didn’t deserve it but she didn’t want to break Nicolas’ heart. She knew she was a lucky woman and would continue to make it up to him for the rest of her days.

Judy threw many parties for her campaign and although Doyle always stayed over he would also be gone by the time Judy woke up.

Judy hated this, she felt used and was not going to let it happen again so she decided to break things off.

Judy couldn’t help but feel distraught. When was she ever going to find her true love? It wasn’t hard for Denise or Melissa so why her.

Judy and Sabrina got along really well and Judy was relieved that she had someone to confide in.

“I wouldn’t worry about it Jude you have an amazing career and are about to be elected mayor.”

“Your right, with the election coming up I’m too busy any way,” Judy couldn’t help but think that she would never find love.

In her sleep Gracie peacefully slipped away from the world.

Nicolas woke up to find the love of his life already gone.

His cries woke up the rest of the house and all at once they rushed into the room. At the sight of his mother’s lifeless body Taylor bursted into tears.

“Oh my sweet Gracie at least this way you won’t get to feel as heartbroken as I do now.”

 

At age 94 Gracie Ashfield (nee Gracie Loveland) left The Ashfield Legacy. She was a loving wife to Nicolas, devoted mother to Denise, Melissa, Judy and Taylor and doting grandmother to Finn and Andrea. She was also noted for her hard work in her career at the science facility. She will be missed.
